About the event
Why birds?
Because they’re everywhere — in our gardens, on our streets, and over our heads — reminding us daily that we’re part of something larger and alive. Birds offer one of the easiest and most joyful ways to reconnect with nature. You don’t need special gear or a trip to the countryside — just your eyes, ears, and a bit of curiosity.
In this informal, conversation-led session we’ll explore:
How watching and listening to birds can deepen our sense of place and belonging
What’s happening to bird populations locally and globally, and what that tells us about climate and habitat change
How birding can become a doorway to community, creativity, and environmental action
