About the event
In this interactive multimedia workshop, Kerima Mohideen and Saul Jones from London Mining Network will explore the concept of a 'Just Transition' and what moving towards a low-carbon future might mean for communities affected by mining. Will the end of fossil fuel mining necessarily mean a greener future for all, or does the demand for transition minerals mean a continuation of climate-wrecking practices? What would it take for a 'Just Transition' to be really just?
London Mining Network is a coalition of human rights, environmental and solidarity groups working to support communities harmed by mining companies based in London.
