Welcome to Kingston HIVE!
Kingston Hive is a collective of local volunteers who took over a vacant space in the Cycle Hub next to Kingston Station in November 2022, since then we have been busy for transforming it into a vibrant hub to benefit people and planet.
We aim to give residents the skills and support they need to:
-
Cut carbon emissions and energy costs
-
Reduce, reuse, repair and recycle
-
Eat a greener diet
-
Live a more local, sustainable lifestyle
-
Look after the natural environment
-
Join together as a resilient and compassionate community
We have run hundreds of events such as drop-in home energy advice sessions, vegan cooking demos, upcycling and repair workshops, a swap shop – and much more. We’re committed to empowering Kingston residents to reduce carbon, costs and waste – making our beautiful borough a healthier, happier place with a green future.
Come and join us! We need a range of skills and experience – but above all, enthusiasm, a love for Kingston and passion for our amazing planet. We meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month, 7-8.30pm at the Cyclehub.
